🔋 Max Battery

When you're traveling, you may want to keep your iPhone in Low Power mode so that your battery lasts as long as possible. Apple doesn't let you do this. They helpfully disable Low Power Mode as soon as your battery is charged to over 80%. Max Battery automatically re-enables Low Power Mode when you're not at home and your iPhone is locked, so as soon as Apple turns it off, it turns it back on. Perfect for saving battery on the go without interrupting normal usage.

How It Works

Max Battery checks your current location and whether the iPhone is locked. If you're not home and the iPhone is locked, it turns Low Power Mode back on automatically.

This way, if you turn off Low Power Mode intentionally while using your iPhone, it won't auto-revert — but if it turns off while your iPhone is idle, the shortcut will preserve your battery.

Change the City

By default, Max Battery checks whether you're in Cupertino. To change it to your own city:

  1. Open the Shortcuts app.
  2. Tap on the Max Battery shortcut to edit it.
  3. Scroll to the IF condition that compares the current city to Cupertino.
  4. Tap Cupertino and replace it with your actual city (e.g., Chicago).
  5. Tap Done to save.

Make sure the spelling matches exactly how Apple refers to your city.
